Clothes

Clothing is one of man's basic needs. The level of need and reasons for it may vary, but, generally, people need clothes for protection. For any kind of season, people can surely find clothes that can soothe their body and meet their preference for style and comfort. From basic types of clothing to the trendiest, all sorts of clothes can be found in countless shops and boutiques.

Clothes for different climate conditions

They type of clothes people wear depends on weather and climate conditions. For instance, people in colder countries can't do without jackets and coats. They also wear layered clothes to protect their body from the cold. For people in tropical countries, popular types of clothes include those that are made of light materials. But, of course, there are also countries and cities that enjoy the four seasons: winter, summer, fall and spring. Their clothes match the changing of the season as well as their needs for protection and comfort.

Clothes in different styles

Because of the fashion industry's efforts, clothes have become linked to a sense of style. People no longer just wear clothes to protect themselves from various weather conditions, but also wear clothes to be fashionable. Being fashionable means knowing what clothes are in season and wearing ones that actually complement body type and features. Some clothes get the stamp of approval of fashion critics, while others are marked as a fashion disaster. Style, as it seems, strongly influence the type of clothes people wear.

Clothes for different personalities

Personality affects the way people choose their clothes. If they are the conservative sort, they may opt for classical styles. For the more outgoing bunch, they you may go for clothes that are considered bright and loud. Personality, however, may be the cousin of style in the case of clothes. Some personalities are better in touch with what the fashion world considers as "in". Another way in which personality and style can be linked is when people ever get called too prim and proper because of what they are wearing.

Clothes for business

Because clothes are still considered a need, they may turn into obsession for some, especially for self-proclaimed fashion icons. This creates a good market for those who are planning to put up their own dress shops or clothing line. People who plan to set up a store in a wealthy neighbourhood may not have too much trouble selling top-end clothing. Still, one may choose other target markets and cater to middle class earners or simply those who are looking for a good alternative to designer labels.

Clothes as symbol of power

Clothes can also represent power. In tribes, for instance, the leaders are easily recognised by what they are wearing. Apparently, modern people still regard clothes as a source of power, and it's best observed the way fashion industry has influenced many faithful followers. For sure, it would be quite hard to spot a business executive or celebrity that's dressed shabbily.
